Brigade Governance

In accordance with charity regulations our Brigade maintains a Board of Trustees.
The Board meets regularly throughout the year in addition to holding an Annual General Meeting.
The function of the Board of Trustees is to perform top-level Governance for the Brigade.

The Church of Scotland provide the Brigade with advice and support around Safeguarding through their national Safeguarding Service.
The St Columba's Church Safeguarding Officer sits on the Board of Trustees above and provides a vital link between the Trustees and the Church for this important function. Click here to learn more about Safeguarding in the Brigade.

The Operational Command Group comprises the Commanding Officer and the Officers in Charge of the three Sections.
This group is in regular written communication after each Friday evening with a section report and meets regularly in order to perform top-level Operational decision making.
The Operational Command Group directly reports to the Board of Trustees.

Each of the three Sections has an Officer in Charge.
The Officer in Charge's role is to coordinate decision making for Section specific Operational purposes and to report into the Operational Command Group above.
Each Section's Officer in Charge both sits on the Operational Command Group and the Board of Trustees.
